Performance guarantee:
Stevens Optical fabricates highly accurate parabolic mirrors with a smooth optical surface, zone free figure, and high contrast, sharp images.
Each mirror is guarantee to reach 50x per inch of aperture minimum dependent on good support for the mirror, well baffled OTA, good diagonal, full thermal equilibration and appropriate atmospheric conditions.
A mirror from Stevens Optical is painstakingly processed over a considerable amount of time with techniques developed in the Zambuto Optical shop. High quality mirrors are not produced by the dozen. Each mirror is carefully crafted, individually tested and worked until it meets my critical standards. Tolerances are listed below. These tolerances are the minimum for a mirror of any size.
RTA must
be .75 or less
Strehl must be .96 or higher
PV Wave must be 1/15 wave or better.
The result is a mirror which shows a crisp diffraction ring at the edge, no turned edge, and a zone free figure showing incredible detail in the image. You can rest assured that any mirror you receive from me will give you years of enjoyment.
Coatings are standard IAD by Spectrum Coatings unless otherwise specified.

Mirrors of standard size and focal ratio are given above and will become available as in stock items as time and scheduling permit. For those wishing a mirror made to a different focal ratio for a specific design there will be an additional charge to cover the cost of reworking tooling for the one mirror. Please see the column on the right for the added cost for special orders.
The prices above cover all fabrication, coating and shipping to your door. A deposit of 50% will reserve a place for your mirror in the schedule and covers the cost of glass and all supplies. The rest is due upon completion. The mirror will shipped to you direct from the coater once the final payment has been received. All money is refundable with the exception of any costs incurred for shipping and coating.
